Female Support Project

Our Story

The Female Support Project the International Women's Day March 8th, since 2020.  A group of females has decided to take the lead in showcasing support to each other by demonstrating that vulnerability is an asset and one of the highest honors.

Local Louisiana Ladies and community leaders have come together to revitalize the concept of female support. However, is not with easy thinking and little action, a lot of that exemplary support came from those before us, who have struggled to gain their rightful place in History.

The purpose of International Women's Day is to raise attention to the social, political, economic, and cultural challenges that women across the world faced for generations and continue to do so today. We have strived to advocate for the inclusion of women within all those areas, particularly by gaining the support of other women. As this small project
took shape with 4 females in 2020, regained strength with 10 strong ladies from different backgrounds, ages, shapes, sizes, and forms have joined forces because they share the same ideology: To support females who share the same values, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for all. 2023 took a positive and unexpected turn 23 females were honored directly and indirectly. Beyond the numbers, we have expanded to properly form a service-oriented and transparent philosophy... to do what is right, with The Greater American Leadership.

We have decided to picture our humble interpretation of what femininity and strength look like with the explicit
support of one another. This is a genuine, unapologetic way of expressing love to one another! 
Contrary to the propagation of negative practices that approve the decline of support of other females, our overarching goal is to promote support, mentorship, and openness. We are cordially inviting females to gain access to the nurturing, mentoring, and sustenance of other females. We are committed to supporting female-led organizations that positively impact generations of other females. 

Enhance, support, and promote females that are within your circle and those that migrate to your community. It is from our diversity that other females gain access to higher social, cultural, economic, and emotional resources. How? Simple, by learning from each other, and understanding that we are better together in a supportive and healthier environment. Understanding that isolated females lead to social failure as a whole, it is our moral and civil responsibility to promote organizations, programs, and individuals that have a full understanding of our role in our community and the transgenerational benefit from supportive practices.

Self-promotion is only valid when it can be supported by evidence that, your knowledge has been acquired by either experiential exposure (life-learned), intellectual development (academic accolades), or learned from modeling of peers (other female mentors).
Be an agent of positive change within your community, and exalt intelligence, beauty, class, drive, and ambition within our gender. This is what Female Support is all about!
